THE WINES

2023 The signal Grenache

2023 Clos Lointain “The Signal”
Le Falgayra Estate Vineyard
IGP Côtes Catalanes
92% Grenache | 4% Macabeo | 4% Grenache Gris
120 cases produced

Grown on the wind-swept slopes of the Le Falgayra estate, “The Signal” is a vivid and expressive Grenache blend that captures the tension, power, and subtle wildness of this rugged Catalan terroir.

Sourced from vines between 60 and 80 years old, with low yields, the old vines are deeply rooted in black schist, yielding fruit that is concentrated yet lifted. Fermented with 30% whole clusters and left on skins for up to 30 days, the wine was gently extracted and fermented in concrete, preserving the freshness and energy of the fruit while layering in structure and depth.

Aged for 14 months in neutral oak, “The Signal” offers a compelling mix of purity and complexity. On the nose, you’ll find sun-warmed raspberries, blood orange, and crushed red plum, interwoven with notes of dried herbs, black tea, and iron-rich minerality.

The palate is structured and textural, with finely knit tannins and a pulse of bright acidity.

Unfined, unfiltered, and made with minimal intervention, “The Signal” is a true expression of site.

2023 Meditations White blend

2023 Clos Lointain “Meditations”
IGP Côtes Catalanes
La Coumo Estate Vineyard
68% Grenache Gris | 32% Macabeo
157 cases produced

“Meditations” is a focused, textural white blend from old vines at the La Coumo Estate Vineyard in the Catalan foothills. The site’s schist soils and dry-farmed 60–80-year-old vines produce fruit with a natural intensity and a strong sense of place.

The grapes were whole-cluster pressed and gently settled before fermentation in neutral 500L barrels. The wine remained on its lees for 14 months without stirring, allowing it to develop texture while preserving freshness and clarity.

The nose is clean and quietly expressive, with notes of pear skin, lemon pith, almond, and faint herbal tones. On the palate, the wine is structured and mineral-driven, with fine phenolics and a savory, slightly saline finish. Grenache Gris provides depth and weight, while Macabeo adds lift and acidity.

Fermented with native yeasts and bottled unfined and unfiltered, this is a restrained, site-driven white built for food and for aging.

2023 The spectra grenache

2023 Clos Lointain “Spectra”
IGP Côtes Catalanes
La Coumo Estate Vineyard
95% Grenache | 5% Grenache Gris
312 cases produced

“The Spectra” is an expression of Grenache from our La Coumo Estate Vineyard, where 70–90-year-old vines dig deep into fractured black schist in the Catalan hills. This dramatic terrain yields fruit of purity and intensity.

The fruit for “The Spectra” was fully destemmed, allowing for an unadorned view into the heart of old-vine Grenache. After a slow, gentle fermentation of up to 30 days on skins in concrete vats, the wine was raised in neutral oak for 14 months to preserve its vivid character and fine structure.

In the glass, it’s electric yet composed—aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant, and blood orange lift from the glass, followed by subtle hints of white pepper, dried thyme, and crushed rock. The small addition of Grenache Gris adds aromatic lift and tension.

The palate is focused, with precise acidity, supple tannins, and a lingering mineral note that echoes the stony soils from which it comes. There’s nothing heavy or overworked—just clarity, freshness, and pure vineyard expression.

Unfined, unfiltered, and made with minimal intervention.
